I like to meditate, just close your eyes and breath slowly, ever since I started meditating 10 mins most days, I feel much more calm. My blood pressure has dropped a little

If you can find the cause. you can solve it. The most common cause is sodium sensitivity, so try a low sodium diet. Weight loss and healthy diet and any type of exercise helps. Stress can make it go up so stress reducers make it go back down but this is a temporary fix if you don’t seriously reduce the stress in your life. I personaly did not have great success with yoga but I was not that advanced in my practice. The low sodium diet and weight loss worked very well for me.

weight loss is helpful, so is the low sodium diet. Diuretics are helpful (caffeine is a natural diuretic but it is also a stimulant!)

High blood pressure is basically a symptom- the key to a healthy body and cardiovascular system is figuring out what is causing the hbp, not simply lowering the bp.
Underlying causes of hbp are often one or more of the following: overactive sympathetic nervous system (which can cause the following), kidney problems, high blood volume, and/or constricted arteries.
Yoga works by targeting the overactive sympathetic nervous system so for many people it could be a “fix” for hbp. Other ways to target the sympathetic nervous system is through diet, exercise, proper weight, stress reduction, proper sleep, moderate alcohol consumption and insulin regulation.
High blood volume is often the result of too much sodium and can get fixed via diet and/or diuretics.
Constricted arteries can be because of endothelial dysfunction or atherosclerosis, often caused by aging or smoking, and often be addressed via exercise and dietary supplements.
There is also something called the Zona Plus therapy that has been proven to increase nitric oxide in the bloodstream, reverse endothelial dysfunction and even get an overactive sympathetic nervous system under control. It was discovered by the Air Force and positively reviewed by Harvard as a way to lower blood pressure naturally- definitely worth a look if you don’t want to use drugs!

Homeopathy is the answer, read the following article by clicking the link before you decide :-

Take care and God bless.

it depends on the cause of the high blood pressure… if a low sodium diet, yoga and meditation, exercise, weight loss and hypnosis , are not working … you may be forced to take a blood pressure lowering drug…
… there are some herbs and other supplements worse giving a try >>
Coleus forskohlii—Lowers blood pressure and improves heart function.
Hawthorne (Crataegus oxycantha)—Has the ability to dilate coronary blood vessels, which helps lower blood pressure.
Mistletoe (Viscum album)—Not as potent as Rauwolfia but well tolerated and nontoxic in normal doses.
Rauwolfia – (Rauwolfia serpentina)—This is considered the most powerful hypotensive botanical. Only a small dose is required to achieve results and to avoid side effects. Nasal congestion is the most common side effect.
cheers, Dieter
